Smell the Roses
oil on panel, 8"x8"
Available for reservations.
All flowers are officially set for the wedding!
Side note: the flower I am smelling in this reference photo is actually one of the dried roses from the bouquet Jose sent me to my previous job the morning after we got engaged. They now sit at my desk to admire as I work.
I'm so so so excited for the flowers we ordered. Jose really doesn't have a preference (so I learned after this process), but I adore large flower arrangements filled mostly with weeds and greenery with fresh and earthy aromas, sprinkled with vibrant colors as supplements.
If you can say anything about this wedding, it will be filled with little notes of what Jose and I love. Bits have more of Jose, bits have more of me, but most of the bits will be filled with hints of "us." I would say the flowers are more me, with hints of Jose's approvals and preferences sprinkled here and there. After all, he gets me flowers every chance he can get, and he does a pretty dang good job at choosing arrangements for me week after week.
That's something I love about us: we know each other so well, and we adore the preferences of the other. I don't want to give too much away about the wedding, but the fact that we planned this wedding with so much of us embedded in it, it's so special. Everything from the mass location to the details on the table chargers, it's us.
Even the flowers for our wedding: not to give too much away, but what we chose is extremely wild yet refined and classic yet joyously fun. It's so us. I'm so thrilled to see it all pulled together into a day that screams our love from the rooftops, and the bouquets.
